Sothea Pheng is a young girl who has been chronically and supernaturally unlucky since birth. As such, she has had plenty of time to adapt to her misfortune, and is perpetually prepared for anything life could throw at her - by her multitude of tools, her planning skills, and her many friends.
At least, Sothea is prepared for almost anything - she lives in a setting where things such as vampires, werewolves, witches and mad scientists, the fair folk and who knows what else lurks in the shadows. The supernatural are obscure enough that some people can live full lives without hearing about them, but Sothea in particular can't seem to avoid them.
Sothea herself is somewhat jaded, and acts like she's perpetually bracing for impact. When she feels frustrated, she constantly justifies herself with a "I SWEAR I'M NOT CRAZY" kind of vibe. When it comes to friendship, she is businesslike and pragmatic. Sometimes, this makes her worry that she's being "inauthentic" or machiavellian. Regardless, she makes sure to always be there for her friends.
